Really, that simple......PS, if you do go on the cruise Miami/New York beside to let us know, I want to bring that photo of the "BOSS" in bed and have her sign the photo in person in front of you (if you're still alive after she see's it).

Well, fortunately I think you have me confused with Z...because if I'd have posted a similar picture of MY wife, I'd be dead, buried, decomposed, dug up, killed again, dismembered, reburied, re-dug up, run through a wood chipper into a vat of acid, and then spit on.

So it wasn't me.

Your right---sorry....It was for Z.

Pardon me if you have addressed this but do you know if Ray Solaire be on board Navigator for the  Reykjavik to London cruise beginning July 11? Thanks for this thread, it was entertaining and timely for us.

Yep. He is awesome.

I tend to share most of what I write with her. But, if she finds out that I posted that pic, I would end up next to Bill sleeping with the fishes. Recommend you save it for future blackmail material.

Outstanding blog, Roberto--you gave my Z Chuckle Meter another great workout!   Big thanks for taking us along.  Now go have a blast in Dublin with TB!

Thanks. Kind words coming from the CC Jedi Master. You have taught us all well.

Also, thanks to all the well wishers and the nice posts. I hope we can all smile a little from my warped sense of humor.

Good Morning:

This is it. The last round up. The bottom of the ninth inning. We are all packed and reluctantly ready to disembark.

Yesterday was another gorgeous day in which we enjoyed by seeing the highlights of Dublin (awesome)

B1DC0EFE-9D8D-462C-A1C1-DF48BEEFDEA1.thumb.jpeg.3816386101db4e0c6b7fad44964e3fed.jpeg

And then we went to the Irish Disney World, the Guinness Storehouse. I almost cried a little as I walked through its gates and stepped into beer Valhalla.

This is a very unique museum, but, I bypassed most of it and headed to their tasting room where I had two stouts and half a blonde (ale) leftover from The Boss.

We had extra tickets from friends who did not use them

so we enjoyed them while while taking in the spectacular view of the city.

Dinner was an embarrassment. We let Kerty talk us into ordering way too much food although it was all great. We split fruit cup, leek and potato soup, crab cake, Wiener schnitzel, shrimp risotto, NY strip, mashed potatoes, lyonnaise potatoes, and dessert.

After dinner, we had a great visit with the first couple we met on sailaway day. They are a  wry nice couple from Vancouver who are on their first Regent cruise and the loved it.

Dublin is a beautiful and charming city which we intend to enjoy for the next three days and I hope to also include yous in it as I share our adventures.

Note:  don’t forget the Yankees are playing Boston today in London. We are so close yet so far.

I know I'm sounding like a broken record here, but please know that we've all enjoyed your blog so much....almost like being there....well, maybe not as I can't taste those bloodies and margaritas! Guess that means we need to find out where you two are going next, so we can organize a proper M&BM Society meeting!

Envious of that Guinness excursion!

Keep calm and enjoy the rest of your trip!

Yesterday was so bittersweet as we disembarked. We had aone last breakfast then returned to the cabin to pick up our carryons and The Boss almost lost it. We were off the ship and on a cab in less than ten minutes. And headed to the Hilton.

Dublin has now been Z and TBed. We walked over six miles yesterday retracing some of the items we saw briefly during our trip to Dublin Disney World.

At noon, we stopped to refuel with a pint of Smithwicks from the Old Dubliner Pub in the Temple Bar district which is a tourist mecca.

We continued south towards wards our hotel and stopped at Devitt’s Pub for lunch where I had the best seafood chowder in my life. It was creamy, silky and full off salmon, haddock, shrimp, clams, and veggies. I cried a little when I tasted it.

We we got back to the hotel in time for The Boss’ siesta and for me to get ready to watch the Yankees-Boston game from London.

Wow!  What a barnstormer!  It was a slugfest that most have delighted the locals being exposed to the game. We had some of the hotel’s seafood chowder which was not as good as the one at lunch, although it was excellent and a huge portion that we split between us.

Sure miss our Regent bed.

I humbly submit Dublin ala Wiley: (can't find the James Joyce pic but there is one)

BTW, our son prefers Smithwick's to Guinness. IMHO that's akin to heresy but he's entitled to his opinion.

Thanks for the great trip report!

Love the Dublin photos.  Also love the pubs in Dublin.  I almost had to drag my DH kicking and screaming to Dublin (due to the feelings between England and Southern Ireland).  He was prepared to hate it but fell in love with it.  Now he wants to go back (go figure).

Another great day in Dublin. We again walked half the city and focused on seeing parks and churches.

Since the weather was in the high 60s, I was able to dust off my shorts and let the world see my gams. Needless to say, I didn’t account for the wind and still froze every now and then. Yep, I looked like the proverbial American tourist with shorts and a baseball cap.

Part two of our soirée yesterday was a mini pub crawl consisting of stops at the Hard Rock Cafe

We got back to the hotel in time to catch the ballgame. BTW, anyone see those two classic games between NY and Boston? I borrowed TB’s broom to help sweep Boston out of London. It was great seeing both games while here in Dublin.

Dinner was skipped due to the pub crawl/big lunch. Overall, a great 16k steps day.

Today: we are going on a private tour of the Irish countryside.
