Labadee Kayak question

Going to Labadee on the Allure in 3 weeks. My daughters are interested in kayaking while visiting that island. I see there is an excursion for kayaking but that’s not really want they are looking for since it goes out to an island and where you get some time there. The girls are mainly interested in kayaking just around the shore while there. Are there kayak rentals on the island just to use without going through the cruiseline excursion.? Also, if yes, does anyone know the cost?

Thanks in advance for your help!

EVERY water sport on the "private beaches" is a "follow the leader" type of thing.  You can't just "rent" equipment (except floats), and do your own thing.  You will need to look at other ports for that.

I've done the kayak excursion at Labadee twice and enjoyed it.  It is for all skill levels, in other words you don't have to be a kayak expert.  It's a nice follow the leader type tour that goes around the peninsula.
