Grandparents, kids and grandkids LA Thanksgiving 7-day 7 people

Recommended Posts

My wife will be celebrating he 70th birthday near Thanksgiving this fall.  She wants to take our eldest son, his wife and their 2 children along with our other son who is not married and me on a cruise some place warm that will not involve jet jag.  Our grandchildren are 4 and 6 and have not done well on long jet flights.  She has seen some Norwegian and Holland America cruise out of LA that she thinks would be fun.  The ones leaving in Dec. seem to be less expensive than those that leave just before Thanksgiving.

Any thought on how to reduce the cost?  Would buying tickets from a Travel agent, direct cruise line, COSTCO, or Priceline get a good price?  Discounters seem to be last minute.

Thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.  My wife for us like out side cabins.
