Challenges cruising with disability scooters

For the first time I am flying/cruising with an automatic foldable motorised scooter. Could any experienced like cruisers please advise me of any challenges that I should be aware of before my husband & I travel to Japan in August. I am concerned about the gangplanks as the grading may be too steep for the scooter to ascend and descend. Image result for brio s19vf.urlImage result for brio s19vf.url
