We’ll be there next week for three days via NCL Escape. Where’s my best bet for a beach that’s free of seaweed?

If the inundation continues I would say Horseshoe. They remove it it off the beach there. That had it off most of the beach. Last week it was pretty deep at the other beaches I was at on the south shore.  I saw a photo from Shelly Bay on the north shore and that beach was inundated too. I did not go to Tobacco Bay but my guess is that they have been removing  it there too as it is a smaller beach with facilities.

In photo, Horseshoe Bay last Thursday morning at 9:43 am. Pretty clear of seaweed.

It just occurred to me that it will be in the ocean even if it’s cleaned off the beaches (brilliant, huh) which will make swimming impossible.

Keeping my my fingers crossed for next Wednesday -Friday.

Thanks for the info.

If you look at the photo I posted plenty of people were swimming. I was swimming. Of course the seaweed situation could get worse or it could get better by next week.

When I look out into the ocean from beaches in Bermuda, I notice darker areas.  Is this the Sargassum seaweed?

The dark areas are probably reefs.Or different depths. Sargassum seaweed is free floating. Not attached. It is algae.
