Yes, they still allow kids on the aft pool. I definitely think that Carnival should create an adults only pool.

vacationguru1 Posted June 23, 2019 #5 Share Posted June 23, 2019 We are scheduled for the Carnival Breeze later this year. We have a deluxe oceanview that sleeps 5. Would it do so comfortably ?
Wolfsrule Posted June 23, 2019 #6 Share Posted June 23, 2019 Does the Breeze leave from Miami port? How big is it? Im looking into doing another cruise in April and I want to try a different ship.

I definitely think that Carnival should create an adults only pool. The only aft pools that are adult only are Conquest class ships and Victory. However, based on my experience there have been cruises on these ships when they opened the aft pool to kids based on the number of kids on the ship. Personally I wish they would make all aft pools adult only all the time. When we were on Liberty last month it was great hanging out at the aft pool during the day with no kids around except for occasionally some kids getting pizza. It is one of the Dream class ships, which are our favorites.
Lee Cruiser Posted June 23, 2019 #9 Share Posted June 23, 2019 We were on the Breeze in April and loved it. We booked it again for next September before it moves to FLL. Dream class ships are our favorites. Booked on the Magic for September out of FLL.
Sparky2 Posted June 23, 2019 #10 Share Posted June 23, 2019 We've never sailed on a Dream Class Ship. I just booked a B2B2B on Breeze from Fort Lauderdale for 2021. It'll put us at Diamond status on the 3rd leg. We're doing a 14-day Journey's cruise from NO in 2020,

My sister purchased the value plan, and she said that there were some points when the internet did not work at all, but overall the speeds were ok. She said it was better than expected. My friend had the social plan and the speeds were about the same.

lkmcginnis Posted June 24, 2019 #15 Share Posted June 24, 2019 Looking at a cruise on the Breeze next summer.... Were the pools open on the last day of sailing? I had heard that Carnival closes the pools for cleaning on the last day. Also, I have also heard that you cannot use the Cheers program on the 1st day.... was that the case on the Breeze? Thanks! jsdst12 Posted June 24, 2019 #16 Share Posted June 24, 2019 We leave for the Breeze in four days, 20 hours, and 28 minutes...but, who's counting? My kids are going to enjoy it no matter what, so I'll ask my selfish questions! 1) Was the casino crowded? 2) Did you try the new seafood place and if so how was it? 3) Any shows we definitely need to check out? Welcome home!

On the last day of sailing the crew is trying to get you up and off the ship by 10am, so yes, all the pools are closed for super-chlorination for the next round of guests arriving before noon. You can use Cheers on the first day on all ships, unless sailing out of Texas or New York state (apparently due to the alcohol tax systems in place). So in those places you pay for one less day of Cheers, and have to drink a la carte that first afternoon/night.

Which I find interesting - I thought Carnival was pretty well done phasing out Mongolian Wok for Ji Ji's Asian Kitchen, but I guess there are still a few ships with it. Indeed, also according to the Carnival website, they are: Breeze Dream Freedom Liberty Magic Splendor Valor
eltigre Posted June 24, 2019 #20 Share Posted June 24, 2019 I just booked cabin 7449 & it leaves from Port Canaveral in Feb. 2020. There is what looks like stairs at the end of the hall beside this cabin. No one at Carnival or my travel agent can tell me what is there. Do you know? Does this ship feel crowded? People seem to say they lined up for everything & getting food when coming back from shore excursions was impossible, either venues were closed or unbelievable lines. Those are crew access stairs, not general public stairs. You won't here anything from that stairwell. Quote Does this ship feel crowded? Did you get a crowded feeling? How were the lines? It seems there are folks who consider every Carnival ship "over-crowded", with lines everywhere for everything. Yet there are others, like me, who do not have the same personal experiences. So it is either a luck thing or a YMMV thing or a personal-space thing. I find timing is everything: on our last cruise, we headed back to the ship from a port (Grand Turk?) well before the departure time (like a few hours before). The other Carnival ship (Horizon) at the pier was due to leave within the hour, and had a huge (huge!) line up of people getting back on board - apparently everyone stayed in the port until the last possible moment, and with as many people as Horizon holds, it doesn't matter how many gangways you open up, it just takes a long time to process everyone back on board.

Welcome home! 1) the casino actually wasn’t very crowded. It did get a little busier after dinner on some nights, but much less crowded than I remember cruise casinos to be. 2) I didn’t try the new seafood place, but I did notice that a ton of people were buying food from there, so I’m sure it’s good! 3) honestly all the shows were a let down. Definitely don’t check out the welcome aboard show. It was mostly just the cruise director talking and 12 minutes of singing and dancing that was mediocre at best. Carnival should invest in better performers and also better scripts. Hope you have a great cruise!
