IJmuiden to Amsterdam

Docking at IJmuiden in September and need information concerning transportation from the port to Amsterdam especially how long a trip would it be ? We have two tours booked and need to plan for time getting to second one from the port. Thank you!

Public transportation is rather complicated and it will eat up quite a bit of your time. Your best options would be, imho, ship shuttle (if one is offered) or taxi (will be rather pricey due to distance). You might also try uber.

Is the a port visit or is your cruise ending here?

There is a public bus that you can take but you will need to walk some distance to the bus stop - if memory correctly serves, the bus takes approximately 45 minutes but note that the bus does not terminate in AMS city center - it terminates at Sloterdijk station.
