Most LGBTI inclusive cruiseline? ❤️ Cunard 🌈

Recommended Posts

I’ve mostly travelled Cunard and found them so wonderfully inclusive, I’m reluctant to risk another choice. Unlike most cruise-ships they put on gay drinks EVERY day (admittedly at an early 5pm but a good time to arrange socialising for later on). Cunard is classy but not snobby (like Silverseas for example), friendly but not intrusive, lovely staff and beautiful layout. Can anyone convince this single Gay traveller what other cruise lines might be fun for me? Thanks!

I don't think anyone can convince you. I find the small luxury lines not to be snobbish at all but that's my opinion and after  all, you will get nothing but opinions from anyone on CC. A small ship cannot provide the range of entertainment that a huge mass market ship like Cunard can. So if your idea of fun is lots of opportunity to socialize with only other gay people stay with Cunard. Personally, I prefer choosing who I socialize with based on who the people are,  not who they sleep with.

I'm a bit perplexed on your comment about Silverseas.  Our last cruise was on Silverseas and we did not feel it to be snobby at all.  Everyone was quite friendly.  Personally, we prefer the smaller ships because we prefer the smaller crowds.  Except for our Holland America cruise back in 2003, we never had an issue being a gay couple on any of our cruises (NCL, Celebrity, Disney, Oceania, Azamara, and Silverseas).  Our favorite cruise line is Azamara.  We like that it can dock in places the larger ships cannot go, the crew are friendly, the food is good, and the other passengers are friendly, too.

We haven't done Silversea but have enjoyed Cunard's QM2 so much that we have just booked our fifth consecutive year 14 day cruise to NY and Canada.  We also have been at the Friends of Dorothy (LGBT) 5 PM gathering each night of each cruise and have met some great people, some of whom have become close friends.

This is my 61st cruise, and Cunard sails above all for its continual commitment to LGBT support.
