Do they check alcohol in Southhampton?

Some friends indicated that there was no one to pay corkage fee for wine in Southhampton. Any recent experience?

 

Also, what about bringing wine on in ports. Looking at British Isles cruise.

I don’t remember Southampton specifically, bring your wine, be prepared to pay.

I would not assume that the failure to collect corkage means they never do it. I suspect that like all Princess policies, this one is hit and miss. Be prepared to pay, but hope for a free ride.

The last time i boarded in southampton a year or so ago for the royal princess they had a table set up and were collecting corkage fees.

Last year, nobody questioned the bottles in our carry-on luggage. Once on the ship, there was a table set up well beyond the ship's entry point. Family had well over their limit, but nobody directed them to the table. We consumed all of our wine in our rooms.
