Rare 1025cruise Posted June 29, 2019 #3 Share Posted June 29, 2019 The best place to ask is on the West Coast Departures board.
riffatsea Posted July 1, 2019 #4 Share Posted July 1, 2019 IF you are cruising with Carnival out of Long Beach there are several choices. "Best" is not the same for everyone! We stay at the Doubletree Maya. It often has a special Carnival rate that includes parking during your cruise. IF you don't see the rate for your dates then I usually e mail the reservations manager there. Let me know if you need her email?

Rare marshalltp Posted October 14, 2019 #8 Share Posted October 14, 2019 FYI she emailed me back promptly with a rate of 189.00 including 7 days parking. We went a different path and are going to stay near Hollywood the day before.

You might want to reconsider.

cathyz Posted October 15, 2019 #11 Share Posted October 15, 2019 We always stay at the Maya (even stayed there way back when they were the Coast Hotel), but we take their shuttle over to the ship in the morning.
riffatsea Posted October 16, 2019 #12 Share Posted October 16, 2019 Free shuttle to and from ship is much easier than walking with luggage. What will you do from Hollywood to the ship in the AM?? Drive and park at the port? Much less hassle to park at the Maya and be away from the crowds leaving or arriving at the garage at the port. First time in LA....we are flying in early on Friday and intend to spend the day touring around on the HOHO bus. In the morning we will use a shuttle service to get us from Beverly Hills to the Port. On the return we are all just headed to LAX so similarly will do a shuttle.

And I've read that there sometimes isn't enough space in the parking garage at the port, if the Queen Mary has an event requiring parking, and the Panorama is way bigger than anything else that's been there, so will overwhelm the garage anyway.
