travel insurance

just an FYI..  Do not use Roam Right Insurance .. we took out travel insurance with them on our Viking Cultural Cuba  cruise....their customer service is AWFUL

they make you jump thru hoops for payment... had to show invoice of when we purchased it... as well as credit card statement showing charge and payment.. i said we bought it directly thru yhour website.. you know we had to have paid for it or you wouldnt have issued us a policy... they said no, its not them, its an outside vendor even if its their website... then they wanted receipt for deposit  as well as credit card statments showing it was paid... same for balance on cruise... i said we had to have paid or we couldnt have been on the ship... again they said they need proof of payment...  we had to file with medicare first, then to supplement, then to them... and they wanted itemized bill.. ours happened to be the dr office on board so it was one statement.... EVENTUALLY they paid but it was a hassle...and they have a deductible... from now on we will use insurance sold by whoever we are travelling with...

we did a trip with Tauck Tours and several years ago and bought theirs which was Aon and they were very easy to deal with.... this was a frustrating nightmare.. 

forewarned is forearmed..... (they are probably fine if you dont need to use them...well priced...but prob bec they hope they wont have to pay... )
