Looking for a private tour for 8 people in Monterey.  Anyone know of one?

Its a tiny, heavily tourist leaning town-- you honestly don't really need one. Extremely easy to walk almost anywhere and if you want a lift out to the Lodge at Pebble Beach or Inn at Spanish Bay Uber works very well.

As pointed out very easy to do on your own via UBER and feet.  I would get off the ship and call up a couple of UBER's to take you down to Cannery Row.  Walk around there for as long as you want.  Then UBER over to Carmel and walk around there for as long as you want.  Then UBER back to the wharf and walk around the plaza and wharf until ready to get back on the ship.  

 

Depending on time of year there is a free "cable car" like shuttle that makes a loop around the waterfront area.  It will take you from the pier down to the aquarium and Cannery Row.  Check the city map for the route and pickup spots.  There was a stop directly in front of the Monterey Plaza Hotel.  If you walk over there and not try to catch it at the head of the pier you will miss some of the crowd trying to get on by the pier.
