Dining package ??

Its my first time on Royal. We are sailing on the Independence of the Seas.  I'm thinking of purchasing the unlimited dining package but not sure if its necessary.  Is it worth it?  Do I have to make reservations to each place?  Just confused as to what I should do.  Thanks in advance for any information.

With the dining packages, you cannot make reservations pre-cruise, you have to make them onboard.

I like a mixture of specialty dining, main dining room and Windjammer buffet for dinner.  We do enjoy specialty restaurants, just not every night!  I think the 3 night dining package is perfect and still a good value.

I will check into the 3 night package. I know our cruise is only 5 days so they might have a limit on the packages
