The journey begins.  Car service was early and we are now at the Marriott at the airport.  Great location as the hotel is connected to the airport via heated walkway.  We spend 3 days in FLL and board on the 6th.  Will try to post the highlights of the trip as we progress.  Thanks to everyone for following along. We will certainly miss Mysty & Myster, The Snells and Michael & David.  We will have several cocktails/glasses of wine in your honor.

Enjoy the awesomeness of the 2020 WC DCC and HunE!  We'll be following along whenever you have time to post.  And we will toast you from here as you sail away on January 6.

Almost ready for HH @ the Embassy Suites.  Today was a zoo with 7 ships and about 16,000 passengers in disembarking/embarking.  Tomorrow will be worse with 8 ships in port and over 20,000 passengers.

You need to gird your loins for HH at any Embassy Suites! It will be easier on Monday evening 🙂

Got to the port around 11 and boarded shortly around 11:30 AM.  We skipped the Breakers/gala and stayed in FLL.   This time of year we like to arrive several days early and the Breakers was $1,100 per night.  Nice lunch in MDR with a Seabass entree.  Gilbert just arrived and Oliver is F&B manager.  Fernando is CD and Norman is HD.  Lots of familiar faces with about 240 WCs.  Normally Fedex luggage is in the suite @ 2 pm.  Not this time.  First suitcase didn’t arrive until much later with last one coming after the 5 pm muster drill around 5:30.  Late dinner with friends as we were last to leave around 10 pm or so.

Great cruise so far.  Excellent food, especially the Mexican dishes during lunch, and outstanding service.  The fresh fish has also been great.  Internet has been slow last two days, but they had an antenna issue and they have done a software upgrade.  Seems to be much better today.  Today was Barbados with 3 mega ships in port - Norwegian Epic (4,100 passengers) along with Crown Princess and P&O Azura (a little over 3,000 passengers each).  Yesterday and last night we were rocking with 14-15 foot seas.

Been pretty busy.  Everything has been great - food, service, & staff.  A good group of world cruisers.  A couple of nights ago was out of Brazil, then Chinese New Year and tonight is the Australia Day cocktail party.  First segment ends on 1/27 in Buenos Aires.  Did a nice walk today in Punta del Este - a lovely little city.  A picture of the Whisper's Zodiacs - nine total, 6 larger ones and 3 smaller ones.  And a few pictures from today's walk.
