My concern is mainly that I don't know what is in the big open spaces next to these rooms on deck 9 and above them. The deck above us is mainly cabins but the diagram also shows a big open area on deck 10 right there and I have no idea what it's used for. Worried that it' might be something that will be a lot of noise. Any help?

You will not have any noise from any of these spaces on either deck.  They are most like crew access areas and would be nothing of concern IMO.  Not every space on board a ship is filled by staterooms and many open spaces are crew stairwells and elevator areas, storage closets, mechanical areas, etc., and not areas that would generate noise.  All of the staterooms are well insulated and we have never had any issues when located near or adjacent to areas that did not contain staterooms.  I would not be concerned about this at all.
