Well i have been checking on a particular cruise for a while, and i got excited when i saw it was one of the cruises in the 20% off selection. When I went to check the prices again i did not see any difference in the price, in fact it was the same as always. Am I missing something?

Yes you are.  You have to follow a specific set of steps in order to be able to see the sale price.  This is explained earlier in this thread; go back and read from post 270.

Well it took some doing but my TA was able to cancel and re-book our 2020 Panama Canal cruise and save us some big $$$ I the process. It only took the better part of a day and several calls to NCL - the first call said that our cruise was not part of the promo, the second call they acknowledged the promo but could not just add It to our already booked cruise. The third call was for the cancel and re-book - for awhile I had four cabins booked - after 24hrs three of them went away. I felt bad for my TA for putting him through NCL Hell. BTW in a the process I lost some perks including my OBC but saved 10x more with the discount,

Did you sign in to NCL and then do a mock booking?  That is when it shows up.

This sounds like an amazing idea - winter at sea. Do you change ships at all or keep doing the same itinerary?

We stay on the same ship...and in the same cabin, but there is a variation in itineraries. This past winter in 42 days we had two Panama Canal transits, one in each direction, with a Mexican Riviera cruise between them. This coming winter we have two Panama canal transits, one in each direction, followed by four Caribbean itineraries which have two slightly different versions. On the 2021 cruises there are a couple of different versions of Caribbean itineraries. There's a lot of port repetition but it's not as if we are doing the identical cruise week after week the way the typical seven day "milk run" cruises work. We vary what we do in every time we visit a port so there's always something different on tap.

When I log in and click the link it says “looks like this page took a permanent vacation”. I guess I am too late.

You might want to try again ... I can get into the past guest offer - latitudes rewards.  Jan

You aren’t too late.  Others have reported problems with NCL’s web site. That’s the message that comes up on the site. Keep trying.

I saw a post on this subject advising the 20% off was extended to the 6th, I am awaiting a response from customer services re casinos at sea before booking - does anyone know if this date has been extended and does it relate to the USA/Global  & UK booking market.

Makes me really appreciate my travel agent. After I called her about this; she said that she would check and get back to me. Within the hour she had gotten us the reduced rate (saved 3 couples over $800 each) without cancelling or losing any perks.

I, too got this 20% offer and followed the link to book the offer and found my cruise listed. However when I called my CC yesterday he said it was not on the list  for discount. I tried a dummy booking myself and the price remained the same as when we booked. I forwarded my email to the CC and am waiting for an update. Anyone else experience this? Should I elevate this to a supervisor?

No supervisor needed yet. What cruise are you booked on in 2020? The offer only applies to the cruises listed from Jan. 2020 > Dec. 2022.

If you want to confirm you're doing it correctly, check the price of balcony, NOT sailaway, on the Jan. 22 Breakaway cruise.  Then log into your NCL account. Select Past Guest offers under Specials.  Do the mock booking again... if you don't see quite a substancial difference, I don't know what to tell you.

I think I may have been doing it right.  I followed the link from the email and it led to my cruise ( Mar 1, 7 day Southern Caribbean from San Juan. ). However I didn’t know to select Past Guest offer under specials. I guess  my cruise doesn’t qualify. Thanks for responding.

Well, darn. Sorry your cruise wasn't included. I guess the good news is, this offer is on going until the end of August so you could still check a few other cruises out for 2021? Who knows, you may find something you like. 😉

If you want to see the cruises included in the sale, go to NCL.com.   Scroll part way down the page and click on "'Past Guest Exclusive Rates."  Follow the instructions on the next page.   That will take you to the cruises that are included in the 20% off sale.  You won't see the sale prices until you do a mock booking.   (This is all discussed above in this thread.)

Good luck.

I'm sorry, but if you are actually looking at cruises covered by this sale, you are doing something wrong.  Click on the "Past Guests Exclusive Rates" block on the home page of NCL.com, log in, and look at a cruise.  The first screen you will see has the non-sale prices for each of the stateroom categories.  Click on a cabin category, and then on the next page, Dates & Stateroom, you will see that the prices for the stateroom categories have dropped to the sales prices.

I followed everything you said to do exactly and the price didn't change on two separate bookings. Maybe we don't qualify for the 20% discount Down Under. The cost of cruises on Australian websites are very different to the US sites.

That’s possible. Do you mind telling us the cruise you are trying to check?

The Jade TA does qualify so it could be your country's travel policies/regulations?

The Gem PC also qualifies. Not sure what to tell you except to check with your TA or NCL. Good luck.

I think you might be looking at the wrong poster. Has Gizmosmum mentioned those 2020 cruises?   She’s the one having problems seeing a sales price for the cruise she is looking at. (Those cruises are in my signature, and yes they definitely are part of the sale. 😄 )
