She thinks she's a high roller. Also mentioned how she'd just booked a suite the month before. Her line about "good luck with that" if security shows up to stop her little party suggests she thinks the Suite Life means "do whatever you want."

I just wanted to put in my two cents. I am totally against the fishing off balcony due to safety.  I don't think the pinata is any issue as long as nothing went overboard and if there was a lot of noise around the occasion it didn't last long. People have parties on their larger balconies all the time. First pinata I've ever heard of, but I wouldn't care.  I do not like it when people play music on their balconies when I've paid extra to get a balcony (even if I like the music).  I get upset by people cursing because there are kids around, parents letting their children run around like manias, chair hogs, people who try to push their way through, people standing in the middle of things that creates situations that cause the need for people to push their way through, anyone involved in a fight (yes I had to rescue my 75yo mother from the middle of a large family fist fight), drunk people who knock other people over (if they fall over without involving others I just think it is funny), chair hogs.  I'm sure there is more but it is hard reading on my phone.  And yes everything I mentioned above has happened around me on a cruise. When something happens around me that I don't like......I go somewhere else unless it is too big a deal that i feel the need to notify crew.  On my 20-25 cruises i think we have only said something once and that was because someone near me was playing loud music on their balcony for over an hour.  The time with the fight around my mom the staff became involved quickly.

The people below may have wished to nap on their balcony or just quietly enjoy their day and you basically decided that your wants were more important and more deserved.

Honest question:  aren't those saying no pinatas,  no Loud music (or no music at all) & no fishing (though I absolutely see why this one is a hazard/wrong) also saying their wants & desires are more important & well deserved?

We're celebrating my sons B-Day on our upcoming cruise & a pinata crossed my mind briefly but I decided against it mainly because I couldn't figure out how it would work on a cruise & because it's just us 3.

While loud music is annoying, I wouldn't be upset unless it was super late or super early.  The fishing just seems like a big hazard.

I don't think people should infringe on others enjoyment of anything, vacation or everyday, & I certainly don't think anyone is more special because they paid more.  I do think infringement includes telling other people to stop doing things simply because you don't enjoy them.  If I thought I could get away with that, I'd tell you all to stop imbibing in alcohol because it stinks & in many cases makes you all look like fools 😂

I don’t necessarily see how fishing off your balcony is a hazard.  But, it’s not allowed.  That’s good enough for me.  If I observed someone doing it, (unless they were trying to “fly fish” where you need a lot of room to cast), it wouldn’t bother me as much as it seemingly does others in this thread.

Loud music (or yelling) on the balcony?  That’s just rude.  I will kindly mention something to the offending party and that’s usually the end of it.  If not, I do alert customer service, and that’s normally the end of it.  I do use a little Bose Bluetooth speaker to stream music from my iPhone.  But, not on the balcony.  It’s normally played while I shower and getting ready for my day.  No one has ever said a word to me about it.

Chair hogs?  If there’s a chair I want, and no one is occupying it for the 30 minutes I’m observing their empty towel draping it, I take the towel to the attendant and that’s the end of that.  Only once did someone come up to me (after I had been in the chair reading for a couple of hours) telling me I had their chair.  I tell them it was empty when I arrived (it was, except for the towel).  End of story.

Shovers, pushers, blockers....usually, I’m a person who won’t let any of that bother me.  I’ll shoot the dirty look their way.  But, it’s not worth the time nor the effort to bother me while on vacation.  On those rare instances it does bother me, I will either walk through the middle of the folks blocking the aisle way, or won’t move when being pushed, and let them go around me.

Point of all this, there are simple solutions to these issues.  Why make it even more difficult for yourself by whining?  Every little thing is not going to go your way or meet with your approval.  That’s just life.  Get over it.

If that makes me trashy, if I’m condemned for my attitude, if that irritates you.....too bad, so sad.

I was wondering about that myself. Not sure what difference it makes regarding suite vs nonsuite.

She means that this atrocious behavior would be expected from the lowlifes in the general population, but from suite guests?! Oh, the humanity!!
