El Morro fort is it easy to get to? How far from the cruise port? Thanks....

It's about a 20 minute walk from the piers to the fort, about half of it uphill one one route (moderate, along the base of the city wall), most of it uphill if you take the route across the city (a bit more strenuous). But a short 5-10 minute taxi ride (about $12 for up to 6 passengers) or Uber is also an option.

We walked from one fort to another on sidewalk parallel to water.   I think it was about a mile or so.  Pic of other fort taken from fort.   Admission to one fort covers the other.   This pic is zoomed a bit but we really enjoyed walking between the two - also go right by La Perla.  I actually enjoyed the walk between the forts as much as the forts themselves.
