If you have ever wondered what books you should be reading on your forthcoming cruise but can’t really decide what to take then hopefully I have a solution for you. 

 

I set up in 2018 a cruise blog called ‘The Witterings of a Cruise Ship Reader’ which simply reviews and recommends books to help you decide what to take and when to read them. 

 

To date over 130,000 people from around the globe have read my reviews and are reading the books I recommend.

Noticed the screen name as well. My guess is the grand old liner SS Canberra. A fine ship, but I preferred Oriana.

Truly a classic liner, unfortunately only worked on her once back in Fall 1978. Last time I saw her was her final arrival in Vancouver. Spent the day aboard her and had lunch with some of the Deck Officers. 

 

Still remember the films of her return to Southampton from the Falkland Islands.

You may be interested to know that Truth and Lies by Caroline Mitchell is the latest book reviewed by The Witterings of a Cruise Ship Reader. 

This site compliments this great Group and provides recommendations on what to read on your next cruise. Appreciate it may not be for everyone but just trying to provided a helpful free service to my fellow cruise passengers doing something I enjoy.

i’ve Just returned from a nice 7 night cruise on board Britannia.

The Mother In Law is usually the butt of lots of jokes, however now she has been found dead in a suspected suicide but the police aren’t convinced and the whole family are suspects.

Former P&O Cruise Director Ian Fraser has just published a book entitled Lucky, Lucky Me I Would Have Done It For Free. 

 

In it Ian talks about his life at sea entertaining thousands of passengers with a number of funny stories along the way involving crew, celebrities and passengers !!
