Not a fancy camera - but would like advice

Recommended Posts

Cameras have various and varying controls and capabilities.

If you could tell the make and model of the camera it will help the expert folks in giving a good answer.

Good luck with your picture making.

Thanks!  I am moving in a few days and it is already packed, but as soon as I unpack I will come back with all the details.  I really appreciate your reply!

Thank you.

Best option for getting photos of 1st Narrows bridge at night is to set up at Brockton Point in Stanley park with a tripod.

However, if the only option is from a moving cruise ship during arrival or departure it will depend on the features available on your camera. If you have any ability to make manual adjustments, increase your ISO to the highest that provides reasonable results and if you can shoot Shutter or Aperture priority, take a number of photos at a variety of shutter speeds.

Hopefully you have a night in Vancouver pre-cruise.
