Got an invite to Bermuda on the Escape in October.

What do you do for 3 days in same port? We don't like sitting around beaches all day.

Is casino open while you are there?

We went last September on Serenade of the Seas.  I also went the middle of last October on Escape.  I will tell you that you should make sure to bring a warm sweatshirt, etc. for the sea days.  It was quite windy and cool. And one day is was in the upper 60s in Bermuda.   Bermuda is our absolute favorite island.  We try to go every year at least once.  Enjoy your cruise!!!  The people there are lovely and the island is very safe and clean!!!

Were going Sept 1. We won’t need a sweatshirt/jacket then, will we?

No. And I've gone in early to mid October every year for the past 4 or 5 and haven't needed one then either. Of course it can get cold sometimes on the ship itself so it's always smart to have a little something to throw on.

Of course there was one year when we went in late October and came home to or car being buried in snow!

You won’t need a sweater in Bermuda. I have been in Bermuda around that time several times. You might need one in the dining room onboard. I always pack one in case the dining room is cold. If you are sailing from the New York area you should not need one on sea days. I don’t know about sailing from Boston then.

Yes, I always bring a sweater for the ship. We are cruising out of NJ.

Buy or check out from your library a travel guide for Bermuda.  Fodors, Rick Steves, Michelin, Lonely Planet, etc.  There's a lot to see/do in Bermuda other than going to the beach.

Back in the day, that’s what I would have done, but there is so much more current information online today. The Bermuda Tourism Authority has a wonderful website and brochures and maps you can order.  It’s gotobermuda.com
