White Party?

Seasoned cruiser, but first time on Celebrity.

 

Does anyone know if they hold a White Party onboard on one of the nights? We'll be on the Edge on 10th August.

We are also wondering what the Silent Disco is and if it is fun

no to the white party....yes, the silent disco is fun....everyone wears headphone and dances to whatever they are hearing.  There are usually three different colored headphones offered with each color being a different sound channel

 

Hint: it seems to work better if you and your partner choose the same colors 🙂

I have no knowledge of a white party. The silent disco is fun! You can toggle between the three different types of dance music on the headset. Very fun and hot!

I saw in one of the Constellation’s dailies that they had a red white and blue party.

They do have a white party, white night, on sister line Azamara.   Most everyone wears white and the officers cook for the passengers.   Lobster tails and steak are on the menu.

White Nights on Azamara are the best, when the weather cooperates!

We also had a White Party on the Edge Transatlantic in May. Maybe it depends on the cruise director?

We had a Gatsby Party on Equinox eastern 2 weeks ago. The cruise director Marten was awesome. You can probably find it on the social medias.

I'll be on the same.  I'm assuming there will be a White Party.  Many have reported having one, and I just saw some pictures on Instagram of one this week.

A Great Gatsby Themed party is basically a 1920's theme.

Don't know about White Party but the silent disco is hilarious! 😂

We had a White Party (Full Moon) party on Equinox last month.  We did Western Caribbean, and it was Key West night.  It was supposed to be on the pool deck, but as Capt Kate said, we had some liquid moonlight, so it was moved to the sky Observation lounge.  It was fun, the show cast did a few choreographed dances in their white outfits, and Maarten hyped up the crowd before everyone danced the night away.  50/50 on those in/not in white.

 

Gatsby Party was on the Deck 3 main foyer on the 2nd Evening Chic night.  Other than Maarten and staff being dressed in something resembling the 1920s and everyone doing the Charleston for a few minutes, there was nothing "Gatsby" about the party.  Its main draw was Maarten & staff were throwing t-shirts, towels and other prizes into the crowd. 

 

Silent disco was held a couple of nights...it is a hoot!  You get a set of headphones playing 3 different channels.  Each channel would light your earphones a different color.  You could watch other folks dancing, and if it looked like they were having fun, you could change to the same channel to see if you also liked the song.  It was especially fun to go to the bar, take off you headphones and watch the crowd singing along to 3 different songs at once...

The Gatsby theme must be gaining some traction as there were more than a few people who dressed up like it was 1920's (we were not in that group). The silent disco looked fun we will probably try that next time.

Gatsby Party sounds like fun,,.We went to a Gatsby themed wedding at a former  Gold Coast Long Island  mansion....Had a great time!.

On our Millie cruise last week , a large party traveling together came to dinner all dressed in white. They were cheered when they came in to the dining room. So I guess you can do your own?
