looking for solo rates to sail Danube end of summer,  fall anyone find a good deal or which lines wave SS? thnaks

Ama waives a certain number of lower end cabins on each sailing, as does Avalon I believe.

I seem to have a difficult time of navigating their sites, it's always like one more step and in the end it's "call for pricing".

Just did a quick check and some math, the SS is greater than 50%, probably closer 75%

Still better than 100%. 😊  If you can find a travel agent who does a lot of business with the cruise line you're interested in, they may have some pull.

Uniworld has a link on every sailing for you to change the occupancy...….from double to single and the prices come up. And some of them have the Supplement totally waived.....depends on the specific cruise.

 

And AMA also has low/no supplements on a selection of a cabins. If you can't find the price? I would just call the toll free number and call them directly.

You might give Avalon a call. they set a number of solo cabins aside for many of their cruises.

I received this email today regarding Emerald:

This is a great option for both solo travelers, and guests who are traveling with friends, but would prefer their own suite. This offer applies to E, D and C cabin categories.
 

 

 I took a Danube Cruise on Avalon a year ago as a solo. They waived the supplement. It was awesome...I booked a Panoramic Suite. I highly recommend Avalon!
