What time does Anthem/RCCL disembark in Southampton?

I think we will get to Southampton from London (and back) via the Waterloo Station train. The ship docks at 5:30am. Can I assume we can disembark beginning around 7am? Wondering what time to book return train tickets. Thanks.

You certainly can if it all goes to plan and the ship isn't delayed.

Usually unassisted disembarkation from 7am or a little earlier, then the first tranche of regular disembarkation at 7.30.

If you disembark unassisted  before the rest of the herd, you'll have no delays for immigration, a taxi line at the cruise terminal etc.

The taxi ride is under 5 minutes, about £7, from RCI's usual berth, City Cruise Terminal.

Ask the driver to drop you at the London-bound station entrance,  Blechynden Terrace. That entrance is directly by your platform  

 

You could book for the 8am train, or better value is the 8.30am at £14.40 one-way if you book in advance. Those cheap advance tickets (available from about 8 weeks out) are only good for the train time that you book, but I'd be very confident of making that O8.30 train.

 

Same advance ticket pricing structure for travel from Waterloo to Southampton Central. This time your platform at Southampton Central is on the opposite side of the station, right alongside the Western Esplanade taxi rank.

We were in plenty of time for our 8.15am train north when we disembarked from an RCI ship at City Terminal- in fact, we've never missed that train once from many different cruises at Southampton- we self-disembark, though.

The taxi drivers know exactly when the ship is cleared for passengers to leave.
