OK, let's get back to this morning. 

 

Headed over to PC around 9:45, actually took 12 minutes Andrew.

 

 

There was a line into the drop zone, so I parked in the cell lot and walked my bag over.

 

 

 

No lines to enter terminal at 10 am

 

 

Tipping porters is optional, but I did anyway. And Karma was kind, our bag was waiting when we got to our cabin

 

 

Much better than Terminal G in Miami

Here is our home for the next week.

 

 

Port Canaveral is so easy to visit as compared to South FL.

 

This is the view from Grills. A great spot for pre cruise dinner or early breakfast

So I headed home to wait on Laura to get home from church. Yea, I don't always go. 

 

Dropped Bella with Linda and Jerry, and Jerry drove us to the port. No cars in drop zone this time and very little delay getting onboard. 

 

PC uses the iPad check in, so it was quick for us. There was a short security line for the non suite/Pinnacle folk. 

 

Once we got upstairs there were lots of folks checking in at the counter, I guess they didn't do online. 

 

From drop off to ship took 15 minutes max

Once onboard, headed straight to Deck 17 for lunch.

 

 

I had dates and flatbread, Laura had soup and salmon. No pic of the fish

 

 

 

 

Salmon was a little dry. Latoya was our server and she remembered Laura from last year. Everyone remembers Laura,  she has the hair of a lion. Or so I hear.

 

 

Oh, and the beer and Zin was free flowing in CK

 

For those interested,  no need for Sea Class folk to knock on the CK door, its left open since we dont have key cards yet.

Gotta love the Oasis Class SL. 🍺

 

Crown & Anchor really takes care of us. 

3 bottles of Beringer,  2 Corona,  and 8 waters.

 

 

With wine all day in SL, we don't even bring our two bottles on anymore

 

Toiletries are taken care of as well

 

 

Supposedly this is a big bone of contention amongst some folks. What exactly is considered an upgrade.  Personally, I just like the bars of soap.

I don't take a lot of cabin pics, but I do have the power outlets and USB's

 

 

 

I'm also a big fan of the closets/cabinetry on Harmony. Big improvement over Oasis

 

 

 

Yea, my wardrobe is pretty bland

Headed to muster at 3:10. Hoping to get a bratwurst.  No luck.

 

 

Official shutdown is 30 minutes prior to muster, we got screwed.

 

Our muster is G01, Aqua Theater. Since it was gloomy, I wanted to be in the back under cover. It never rained and it was muggy back there. Oops.

 

 

Forgot add something from earlier

 

Harmony gives suites an Pinnacles complimentary WoW bands. I'm a big fan. They let you open your door without fumbling for a key. Downside is they are both the same color. I need to mark them, I guess.

 

 

And Pinnacle now gets gold seapass instead of white. Wasn't expecting that.

I'm on this cruise. This is my 3rd cruise out of Canaveral, and the check in process was a breeze. 

We dropped off our luggage, parked the car and were in our cabin in 40 minutes. Our attendant was a bit slow in getting our bags (and even placed one bag by a different door).

So your cabin location is starboard aft on deck 8? If so great choice as we have been in 8690 twice along with several others along that corridor.

Swank Pad G: We also have a 1-yr old Cav "Bobo" (Blenheim). We had a tri-color female a couple of years ago but she was attacked by a large dog while hubby was walking her on a leash. Lulu was only 8-months old. Didn't think I would get another one but stayed depressed, so decided to get another one. So glad we did!😍 Last cruise, we boarded him at our vet in Mt Dora (Shamrock) when he was just a pup. Now, our neighbor will be watching him for us! She just lives across the street!

We love to cruise but it it is hard to leave our loved ones. Maggie and Penny
