New Drinks Package - Premium +

I was able to upgrade from premium to the "Drinks and more" pkg yesterday online.  We sail 11/30/2019.  Somehow, the price for 2 was just$126 total.  I play in the casino, AND have excess OBC, so for me it was a no brainer.

Yep, just was able to upgrade both of our November sailings. The $9 per day, pp, includes gratuity.

So a 6 night cruise = $108.

9 night cruise = $162

(for 2 people)

Considering that we each be getting $50 in casino credit per cruise, and my Pringles cravings will be appeased with the mini-bar, I agree the upgrade seemed like a no brainer. Even if we don't get to choose the bottles of wine.

Was taking another look at this list, and noticed that the Riesling doesn't seem to have a quantity or price next to it. Do they just include the chardonnay and cab sav in the minibar?

Or is that part of the cab sav title... hmm. Looks like I got too excited thinking a Riesling would be included. Oh well.

Maybe I've missed it, but can anyone confirm that the upgrade comes with $50 and 2 bottles of wine "per person?" Therefore you would receive $100 total and 4 bottles of wine, per cabin if 2 adults upgrade? We have this available as an upgrade for the $9 pp per day and are considering it.

That's certainly how it reads, but I'd love to hear from someone who has used it onboard.

Well, knowing X, the wine is per cabin and not per person... just like bringing wine aboard at embarkation, it is two (2) bottles of 750ml per cabin.

Cheers and bon voyage

Normally I would agree... but in this case, both people in cabin DO NOT have to upgrade, so I am under the impression that it will be "per person".  Time will tell 😉

What is the Beverage Hospitality Desk where we supposedly go to pick our wines by the bottle.? Never heard of that.

I assume it is the desk used to sell drink packages one see on first few days of a cruise. Probably the reminder will tell us exactly where and when the desk is located/open.

In late August I got a post card in the mail advertising the premium plus beverage package. The info states that this package is a pre cruise only purchase. The following is included: everything in the premium beverage package, and two bottles of wine during the cruise (collected from Guest Services), a wine tasting in Cellar Masters, once per cruise $50 casino credit, and full use of the room mini bar (replenished daily). Price in USD was $67.50 per day plus gratuity. Both guests sharing a cabin must get this package to enjoy the additional perks that are above the usual premium beverage package. A guest traveling alone will get all the perks of the premium plus beverage package as they are paying the single supplement. Enjoy 😊

We leave Monday, we also upgraded from our 4 perks to the + premium.  Used our last of OBC and paid $68.00 (total) for our 9 day cruise. Pretty sure we will have a wonderful time, especially seeing our daughter and her BF in San Francisco.

Was the 50% off sale we've been hearing about for beverage packages valid for this upgrade?

Just off the Summit Saturday and we upgraded to the Drinks and more. The upgrade must be done prior to sailing, not offered onboard. They refer to it onboard as the premium plus package. A couples of things to note. You need to go to guest services to have your card reprinted. The cards will have PALL and once reprinted will say PALL PLUS. Both must have upgraded for mini bar. All things included in mini bar but inform your room steward you have the upgrade. Ours did not know and wasn’t restocking. We got that fixed. Your wine will be delivered and will be two red and two white unless you specify. They are not great choices in wine (low end). To add your casino credits just visit the casino cashier and they will be loaded with instructions. We did not end up doing the wine tasting. For the minibar and casino credits we thoroughly enjoyed this package.

Thanks for the details. Disappointing that there isn't a choice of bottles of wine - maybe could trade in all 4 for a nice bottle. 🙂 For your mini bar, was there any flexibility on the items stocked (e.g., liquor or soda choice). Thanks!

No, I had the 4 perks from the beginning of the reservation. I had read on CC that you had to purchase it, and that you could not have a big box as a TA, but it was available to us. So I hope all be the same on each ship, as more people report back.

Premium Plus does not show up in my cruise planer for my cruise which is 81 days from now.  Mybe to early?

I just got off the phone with Celebrity and they confirmed that the Premium Plus/Drinks & More package is only available on 2019 cruises at this point. I called to have them add my classic package to my reservations so that I could upgrade using the online system and hopefully take advantage of any discounts currently available, but on our next cruise (May 21, 2020 on Solstice), the upgrade to premium is listed at the normal price of $12pppd including gratuity. I'll be keeping an eye out for a sale but it sounds like those reporting sale prices today are getting offers for specific cruises only.
