We're Close! (Magica - 1/29)

DH and I flew from LGA to FLL yesterday, staying at the Embassy Suites hotel in Ft L, as recommended by Costas and our travel agent.

 

So far, so good. As we made our air arrangements, not the cruise line, we were on our own for transfer from FLL to the hotel. (Also saved about $200 per ticket by doing so.) Not a problem though, just had a little wait for the hotel's shuttle.

 

The hotel is very nice. Clean, well appointed. Nice full breakfast was included. High-speed wireless Internet access is in all rooms, though a $9.95 charge applies. A variety of stores are within walking distance (Publix, CVS, liquor stores, et al), so if you forget something or want to pick up some water or wine, (it's sold in supermarkets here, unlike in NY & NJ), you won't have a problem.

 

As planned, our bags have been picked up already for direct transfer to Costa and into our cabin. We're taking a later shuttle as we did a little shopping and relaxing. The ship doesn't sail until 7 p.m., so we figured lots of people are going to go early; by waiting, we might missed the anticipated crush.
