I have a question, do you know if I can purchase onboard credit before leaving for my cruise, so that specifically once I am on the ship I can withdraw "cash" to use while in port.  I live in Ontario and will be cruising out of San Juan and don't want to travel ahead with too much money on me personally.  One person said that I could set up an onboard CASH account and that that would work.  She suggested I call the 1-800 number, which I did, and they told me "No".  However, she said she does this all the time, and has done this as recent as this past July.  Please help, if you can!

Onboard Credit doesn't work like this. It is usually given to you as part of your booking, depending on what deal you get.

Hey guys!

So I have some exciting news!

I found out last night that I'm going to be transferred to Oasis Of The Seas in 3 weeks time. This is a big step up for me, and a lot more responsibility is going to be put on me - but I'm excited for this challenge.

I'll be flying out to Spain to join the ship, and then crossing back to America for the beginning of the Caribbean season.

Let me know if any of you will be on Oasis! I look forward to meeting you!

Congratulations!!! I'll be on her end of January. Also THE BEST piano man will be on Oasis the end of January too! His name is Keith Retson-Spalding (from Canada)  I saw him on Adventure last year & had so much fun!

I met you on Mariner, and will be on Oasis on Dec 1.  Congrats on your transfer.

We will see you on board at Christmas.  Will you be posting pictures of her on the crossing?

OMgoodness Christopher!

I was so looking forward to seeing you and Andrea on Nov. 29th.

I see the candy I brought you and Andrea didn’t help fattening you up. Lol

Yes, you know me by sight.

I don’t know if that’s good or not

Yes, I’m a pain. 🙂. Gotta have my Evian in the casino, always wearing my Empress of the Seas or blue sweatshirt.

When will your contract on the Oasis end?

When do you expect to be back after vacation on the Oasis?

I don’t have any room to book anymore until February or March. 😞

By the way, what is Andrea’s favorite candy or snack?

I’m excited for you.

Terri

Congratulations!! My husband and I will be on in March. Are you going to be a casino host on Oasis?  If so, you will be seeing a lot of us in the casino!! 😉

Chris,

I'm really interested on reports/video on the crossing (especially sea conditions).  I am doing the Allure crossing next Nov 2020.  Is the crossing going to be a "crew only" sailing? Thanks in advance, I'm really enjoying the videos.

That's a great idea.  I doubt it would be without passengers, but a transatlantic voyage is definitely a different dynamic either way.  I've been fortunate to cruise a bunch of times in my life, including 2 transatlantics on the long- defunct QE2 - albeit one of the great ocean liners or her time.  The seas, the weather, and the notion of nothing but sea days between Southampton and NYC was unique, yet awesome.

Agreed!  Since the Oasis coming back to Florida from Cadiz is going to be a crew and contractors only sailing, maybe giving an insiders look to what that's like might be a good angle for a VLOG.  I know they usually use these non-rev sailings to finish up last minute stuff, so it would be awesome to have an insiders view of what's going on and what duties the crew that is on for these sailings have to do.
