Suite Benefits

I would love to hear from those of you who know from your personal experience what the benefits are for having a full suite when sailing with Princess?  I'm not talking about having more space, I'm asking about things like having the upgraded bathrobes, one complimentary mini-bar set up...stuff like that.  I already know about the pdf file on the Princess web site that lists all the benefits but I swear when reading here on CC, a lot of people have listed things that were not on that list.

Thanks in advance!

We have stayed in full suites many times.  Believe the list of benefits on the Princess web site.

A benefit I truly like is the complimentary dinner in a specialty restaurant on the first night.  I always go to Crown Grill.    For me, the Crown Dependence dessert is just the best.

i also enjoy room service, which in a suite can be ordered from the dining room menu, whenever it is open.  Fantastic!

Enjoy your cruise in your suite🙂⛴🛳🌊🌅🎆🐬🌈🛥😉

The only thing I can think of, and this is not consistent ship to ship, is escorted boarding.  By this I mean when you complete your checkin you are either assigned an escort (typically a waiter from the MDR) to take you directly aboard OR if boarding has not started, placed in a small holding area to be escorted aboard as soon as the ship has been cleared.

I've experienced this only in San Francisco though there are reports of it happening elsewhere.  It's a nice feature.  Beyond this, I agree the PDF describes fully our experiences.

Hi We took an up sell to a suite and as part of the up sell we received a  free balcony breakfast for  2 people any day we wished to have it delivered. The mini bar is included on the  suit pdf.

Hope you enjoy your suite we really enjoyed ours.

But your free balcony breakfast was NOT a suite benefit- it was an upsell benefit apparently.  Suites do not come with free balcony breakfasts.

One of the better benefits is the mimosa breakfast and the club class dinners and lunches on sea days. Walk in almost anytime the club class DR is open and you will be seated. These benefits are shown in the Princess PDF.

only thing I can add is ... don't be afraid to ASK for the benefits included in the suite/pdf ... you "may" know as much or more than your "steward" does about what you should get

If they state ... well, that is no longer included ... DEMAND to know what will be substituted for it

j/k about that DEMAND part ...

and pay attention to the times required to order some of the services ...

Breakfast at Sabatini's and free laundry are the two perks we enjoy the most. As said before, the list on Princess is correct. If you have specific questions about the list, please fell free to ask. Enjoy the suite life!

Club class dining means one never has to wait for a table or even make a dinner reservation.  Suite Class eats breakfast separate from all other diners, as well.  On the Regal Princess this was Sabatini's restaurant.  Suite passengers are the only ones there.  No waiting for a table and superlative service.

Special lines at pursers for service and special lines for boarding.

I think all this is on the list, but not waiting for anything is a real bonus.

There's also the Concierge Lounge, which is more than just getting an extra canape.  On my last voyage it was directly across from our suite.

Not to be disagreeable but Club Class does not guarantee that you will not have to wait to be seated. It is not common, but my husband and I have actually been told to come back in 20 minutes or so in Club Class. I love Club Class, but to say you never have to wait is a disclaimer. Not often, but I have seen it several time with other folks who have to wait for a few minutes. We just choose to forget the wait and went to the buffet and had a very nice evening. Next day, when we went to lunch in Club Class they could not do enough for us. I think they really felt bad that we missed out on dinner, needless to say there is plenty of great food all over the ship to get us a meal. We are not picky, so it was fine with us......

The Concierge Lounge is not fleetwide ... Royal class ships only.

This might be more of a feature than a benefit, but still... On the Grand Class ships, my Vista Suites have included a huge jacuzzi tub in the bathroom.  Truly spectacular!

And the shower is ample sized as well!

Your Table Is Waiting for You

Dine on your own schedule and enjoy expedited seating with no wait*.

Club Class Dining is available for breakfast and dinner daily as well as lunch on sea days.

Note they state NO wait. so 20 minutes or having to go to the buffet is unacceptable.

Priority when making dining reservations.  When making reservations with host for the Crown Grill I was told none were available.  The header was standing there and asked what room I was in.  I told him and he asked "at what time would you like to dine".

I agree about Club Class.  I was once told to come back in 30 minutes.  Yes, I was a suite passenger at the time.  This is why I do not count on Club Class.

That is what they SAY but I can assure you that waits can and do occur.  On our most recent April cruise we were once told "come back in 20 minutes" and another night told, "We're not sure how long it will be, have a seat in Crooners and we'll come get you" (did so in 30 minutes).  Both of these nights were with port calls ending at 4 or 5PM which I think pushed normally 'early' diners into prime time.

They do their best, but full is full.

I totally agree, you should never have to wait 20 minutes.
