Your Table Is Waiting for You

Dine on your own schedule and enjoy expedited seating with no wait*.

Club Class Dining is available for breakfast and dinner daily as well as lunch on sea days.

Note they state NO wait. so 20 minutes or having to go to the buffet is unacceptable.

There is no amount of whining that can create a table where none exists.

Obviously, some people have had to wait.  We have 35 days with CC dining without needing to wait even once.

I had to wait on one occasion  15 minutes myself. PRINCESS puts out the literature stating no wait and it's incorrect. They need to say usually there's no wait  instead of stating in writing a perk they don't consistently deliver on.

Well said.  For sure.

We had to wait once because Club Class does not have a lot of large tables and we showed up wanting a table for six so that we could eat with four other people we had met at breakfast (who were also in suites). One thing not mentioned on the Princess website was free bottled water for each of us delivered daily in addition to the stocked minibar.

Thank you geoherb!   This is the type of info I'm looking for---knew there were little things like that not mentioned on the pdf.

Thanks geoherb, I totally forgot about that. You saved me $7.00 lol, my last Princess was in November on the Ruby in a Mini Suite so I did order a case of water but the one prior to that was in a Suite on the Diamond and Yes we had two bottles a day, actually if we did not use the previous days they did not replenish but as soon as we used them they did. And it was complimentary. I went into my Cruise Personalizer and canceled the water I ordered a month ago. Definitely looking forward to our morning Mimosas in Sabatini's :classic_biggrin: We are in count down mode.

After reading all of the posts, I would like to say that the originators question of Suite perks and club class are two different things. Everyone in a full suite or in a club class mini suite gets club class as a dinner and if open lunch in a specified dining room. Onboard the Regal that dining room is the Concerto and whats nice is that normally you do not have to wait but as one poster said, "Go to Crooners and we will come get you" works great especially now with the medallion. Whats different on the menu? On lobster tail night for all dining rooms, club class had a additional offer of Lobster Thermidor and it was fantastic. Some nights the additional dish comes from the galley and on others one of the Matre'Ds cooks at a rolling station.

Now as far as full Suite perks aboard a Royal class, there a additional versus the rest of the fleet. The concierge on deck 14 is staffed on embarkation day to help you with anything. Changes in dinners, tours, celebrations you name it and it is probably possible. The written policy of a complimentary specialty dining on embarkation night can be changed to another night during the cruise. A request for Chef's table, on the Royal class Luminere can be made by them, ship tours, like I said just ask, and the other thing mentioned before you are not standing in a line along with a large number of other persons. Need a additional umbrella then pick one up at the door.A plate of cookies and brownies for that afternoon snack or maybe some small snack sandwiches, just serve yourself. So if you are going on a cruise to enjoy yourself both on and off the ship book at least a club class or if you can get a good price a full suite.

I was not aware that they have added this to the T&C. Can you provide a link please?

This is good to know.

I always thought it was an unwritten policy.

Having stayed in suites my past two cruises; I like that mostly everything is taken care of. We were escorted onto the ship. We had specialty dining the first night. We had umbrellas in our stateroom closet. We had minibar setup; bottled water everyday, We had room service exchange some items in mini bar.  Had appetizers every afternoon, laundry service; priority tenders, invitations to captains cocktail, access to elite lounge. We used Club class dining; on first cruise we had family suite; so we had table for four every night; no waiting. Second cruise we had table for two and no wait.  We have a suite booked on Sky Princess next year; and both of us are looking forward to it. Have a great day

One more thing that was surprising to me was that there was a sleep amenities bag included in our suite last time (sleep mask, lavender spray, etc).  This was a year ago.

We also had access to a dvd library, but never used it.  I believe if the ship is fitted with OceanMedallion, that perk went away as everyone has On Demand movies available on those ships.

There was also a shoe shine kit in the room but you could request your shoes are shined through your room steward so never used that perk.
The CC dining offers another dish prepared by a head waiter ... and they were always superb.  One night there was a scallop dish offered and they were the huge sea scallops.  Off the MDR menu, they were about a third the size.  Sometimes it will be a pasta dish or a special dessert prepared at your table.  We enjoyed everything about Club Class dining.  On our sailing, they would re-purpose a MDR table for CC dining when needed by changing out the table cloth, glasses, etc.  If you are a wine drinker, you will appreciate the Riedel type wine glasses with the nice thin rim.  We were also asked if we wanted black napkins at dinner.  They may only do this depending on how you are dressed.  For us, it's never necessary, but still a nice touch.

The best perk to me aside from the Club Class is the mimosas / specialty coffees served a designated specialty restaurant at breakfast.  Also, you can order something not on the menu and even if they can't get it for you that day, they will make sure it is available for the remainder of the cruise.  Once the waiters in there see you every day, they will bring your preferred coffee / mimosa without even having to order it.

One more perk that may or may not have been stated is that you can order a meal in your room off the MDR menu.  And, you can even order room service on the last morning of the cruise, unlike what you can do in any other room category.

We've only sailed in a full suite once and have one more booked for the future but, it is something for a special occasion for us as it usually doesn't fit into our budget.  It truly spoiled us!!

The current Full Suite amenities

https://www.princess.com/downloads/pdf/ships/PrincessSuite_eFlyer.pdf

On disembarkation on the Royal class you meet and wait in the Concierge lounge and are escorted down to the gangway when it is your turn to leave. If the cruise only has one embarkation / disembarkation port you also can get room service that morning which is a full suite only perk.

Two of our favorite and most useful Suite Amenities (to us) are the Concierge Lounge (on Royal Class), and the available room service breakfast on disembarkation day.

As mentioned, the Concierge Lounge provides an Espresso Machine and pastries in the morning and nice little tea sandwiches and veggies and sweets in the afternoon and evening.  Plus, the Concierge will do everything for you that you used to run around the ship and spend time on the Dine Line for when you first embark.  This includes your specialty dining reservations (including your free one that they will change from the normally required first day), Spa items, room service request for mini-bar, etc.  Also, at the end, the Concierge will print your boarding passes if you give them your airline and flight number.  Personally, we always tip them at the end of the cruise because of their time saving helpfulness.

The last day full room service breakfast makes the last morning much more relaxed and allows you to enjoy your breakfast on an otherwise hectic morning.

We don’t get too excited about breakfast in Sabatini's, since the menu is limited.  But, if we do use it, it is because of the personalized, relaxed service on some mornings.  Also, as others have mentioned, with a day’s notice, the Maitre D will try to accommodate special requests like a crab omelette or (small) steak and eggs.

Just my 2 cents worth on our favorite Suite Amenities.

Actually, one of our other favorites are the delivered dinner menus, if you ask, so that you have an early look to decide if you want to eat at a specialty restaurant instead of the MDR on any given day.

Anybody in any cabin can ask for the next night's menu in the dining room when they are there at dinner.

Here is an exciting addition to the Suite benefits on the Royal Princess right now! They are testing it here (and only here) and will be making decisions on whether to continue it based on feedback from the Suite guests on the Royal Princess.

The Concierge Lounge now has its own cocktail hour from 5 pm and 7 pm. They have the standard Concierge Lounge food and snacks but alcoholic and nonalcoholic DRINKS ARE FREE. There is a bartender in there during that time. While not a full bar he does have several bottles to work with. It has been a great addition to the benefits and has been almost full every night.

Remember, ONLY being tested on Royal Princess, ONLY in the Concierge Lounge, and ONLY for FULL Suite guests.

We were recently told that it was in development and would be instituted on the Royal class. Thanks for the information. We were also told that all cabins TV's would become touch screen and that Medallions were being studied to allow access to more than one location. This ability would stop full suite guests from having a key card to get into the concierge lounge.

My guess is that this one-ship test drive is so Princess can see how much "free" beverages, on average, are consumed daily or weekly ... and they will raize suite fares accordingly ... because nothing really is FREE
