favorite sea day activity on Carnival?

Recommended Posts

Love seeing so many others that enjoy Afternoon Tea!

We actually even bring our own teacups to make it a little more special (I know, that seems over the top, but we like it!)
Cupcake also brings a small glass ramekin with a lid to glean preserves from breakfast, since they don't have any preserves for the scones at tea!

Aside from tea, we like sitting in the Serenity area to get some quiet sun, attending the various free raffles they hold (haven't won anything yet) and some of the trivia or games.

Played Yahtzee a few cruises ago and ended up in a group of 5 where 3 of them had never played it! They were all my age or older as well (nearly 50). We ended up coming in last place, since we had to spend so much time teaching them the rules and helping them decide where to put their points and then explaining why that was the best place to put them.
We all had a blast, though, and it was good fun!

That and taking a nice nap....

  • 3 weeks later...

Someone mentioned steakhouse cooking demos, with samples.  Is that something that is FREE on sea day, or do you pay to attend this function?  If it is free, would it be listed in the daily paper they provide, and how would it be listed?

I'm not a sun-worshipper, but love being outside. I will find a shady lounger and read while sipping on alcoholic beverages.

I'm a Serenity Deck inhabitant.

Sometimes I nap out there.

If there are cooking demos, I do go to those.

And I love a Behind the Fun tour!

Sometimes my wife talks me into a demonstration or spa visit.

In no particular order...

  • Sleeping in, which, by cruise standards, is 8:00 AM.
  • Having a bigger-than-normal lunch/brunch.
  • Winning a ship on a stick in a trivia contest.
  • Hanging out in the pool with new friends.
  • Trying yet another tropical drink.
  • Watching the afternoon show in the theater.
  • Learning a new line dance.
  • Spacing out while staring at the wakes.
  • Watching the dramatic sunset.
