You have Waterfront Centre across the street below the Fairmont.

For major outlets Costco is about 1 mile at BC Place, London Drugs is about 1/2 mile on Georgia and as previously noted the Safeway is just over a mile.

Many do not realize just  how powerful a tool google maps can be.  Center the map on your place of interest and type in the search block what you're looking for: convenience stores, wine shops, hotels, restaurants, fast foods, all will result in a map answering your questions on what is close by.

So true.  There is a wealth of information on these maps.

I just wish we had 10% of this information when I was a site location analyst back when.  We had to drive and look for everything.   Life would have been sooooo much easier!  I even had to rent a small plane and pilot to take aerial photos myself of potential sites.  Now with Google maps I can do it in seconds from my desk.

SO TRUE!  👍 This has saved me time and time again. No offense intended as these cruise boards are a great resource, but in the time it takes to type out and post a question here, often you can have your answer with Google maps. My husband uses street view to get his bearings when we are going to a new city; it helps us find our hotel, stores, restaurants, etc. 😊

I also use Street View extensively, especially when out RV'ing. Plan the route and then drive it on Street View from departing the motorway to the campground. With a 41' trailer have no desire to get stuck on a dead-end road.
