Carnival Dream Technical Issue

I’m currently on the Dream and we’re experiencing a technical issue that’s slowed us down quite a bit. The ship is skipping Progresso today in order to make Galveston Thursday morning on time.

The staff has laid laid on many more activities for us to enjoy. A $50 credit has been applied to sail and sign accounts and any excursion booked through the ship have been refunded. We left Cozumel late last night about 730pm with no explanation given as to why. Now we know.

I checked our speed and we’re barely making 12 knots.

That's not necessarily the top speed, just the speed needed to make it from Cozumel to Galveston for a normal arrival.  Figure they have the 6-8 hours that you would have been in port as extra steaming hours, so they don't have to go as fast.

I doubt it’s top speed as well. Just passing information along.

I also agree $50 credit is a much better deal than stopping in Progresso!  I was planning on a quiet day onboard. Now it’s just a rowdier day onboard! No worries!
