darjensil Posted January 29, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2006 Can anyone tell me how the tendering is going into Cozumel. We are thinking of booking an excursion on our own for 9:00 am (ship docks at 8) but I'm afraid we won't have enough time as we have to tender in to Cozumel. Any thoughts or suggestions? Also can anyone tell me what the Murder Mystery Dinner is that I keep reading about? People talk about it on this message board but I have no idea what it is. Thanks. newmexicoNita Posted January 29, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2006 tendering can be tricky with only an hour to spare. Remember docking and clearing the ship can take some time. Check with the tour company: if they have others going on the tour most likely they will wait til you all have a chance to meet. We have had this happen before: dock at 8am; tour at 9 but the tour company waits for us. Mystery dinner: briefly, there will be something posted in the freestyle daily the night before the scheduled event giving instructions on how to sign up or you can ask someone on the activities staff, cruise director whomever. Anyway you will meet with several others, the number changes depending on the ship. You are given scripts (I don't mean they have be followed or memorized) anyway there will be about 6 or 8 in the group with several groups. You will stay with your group through dinner, ask questions of each other and try to figure out who the murderer is. It's a great way to spend about 2 or so hours: lots of fun. As I said ask your cruise director about it when you have a chance. NMNita
electricron Posted January 30, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 30, 2006 The Sun drops anchor or uses it's auxiliary engines to maintain it's place about a 10 minute boat ride from the ferry pier at Cosumel. Look at photos from my recent Sun cruise in my signature. The first off the ship are booked on NCL sponsored shore excursions, it's usually about 90 minutes after arriving before those who have tender tickets start leaving the ship. then another 30 minutes before there's open tendering. Good luck! Have a great cruise.
Michaelw5 Posted February 11, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 11, 2006 Great Review and even better photos! Do you or anyone in your group have any photos of the kids area. We are taking our 4 year old and want to see what it looks like.
