On the 2019 World Cruise there were often surprise menus on the Aquavit Terrace  Surprise to us at least.  They may have been posted as you left the World Cafe, but if we skipped lunch there we got a surprise at dinner.

Looks like the Indian River in Portsmouth.  Love Dominica.  Anyone make it to Trafalgar Falls, the hot and cold waterfalls?

We attended the special tomahawk steak dinner on the pool deck last night and were surprised by it.  The food and service with music provided by King were all Great!  Our thanks to Food Manager John, Head Waiter Jeffrey and Special thanks to Beverage Manager Nikolay who mentioned it to us and also provided the Cherry Crush bourbon drinks.  CTBob

Would that be Nicolai from Croatia?

That was an issue on our Transatlantics also but on our recently completed 😢 cruise on Orion, there was always a big advertisement in the daily as well as on the big screen by the pool whether it was being served by the pool or not.

I have been remiss in posting but all this beach stuff and doing nothing has been really exhausting.  Where is a sea day when you need one?  We have been to a number of islands this week and I will only say not all Caribbean islands are equal.  St Martin/Sint Maarten is a favorite and we enjoyed a day at the Sunset Bar for a great burger and a few beers.  This is where you get really close to airplanes landing and taking off at SXM.  The beaches are coming back and lots of the crew were enjoying the sun and sand here.  Still plenty of damage visible on St Martin but basically all open for business.  Our cab driver had a great attitude in that he says everything is for a reason.  The hurricane cleaned out all the hotels and houses that needed upgrading anyway.  His opinion but he was a happy soul.   We have been in this part of the world many times and always gravitate back to the BVI.  So, to each his own but we had the best day today taking the optional trip from Road Town, Tortola to White Bay, Jost van Dyke, BVI.  Our "happy place in the Caribbean is JVD.  Only accessible by boat, it is the home of the Soggy Dollar Bar and others and is the picture perfect Caribbean beach.  We were very happy to see how much rebuilding has been done and JVD seems almost undamaged.  A great day in a beautiful place.  😎

love JVD, we were there last year on SD1.  This year we are doing Azamara and they have an excursion to JVD from Tortola, just wondering how long was the boat ride over?

Your screen name made me laugh.  One of my favorite movies.  I was surprised to see there was a pirate named Robert's.  CTBob

Glad you all are enjoying the sunny warm weather. We left you in New York and got back to Tennessee to enjoy way cooler temperatures than when we left - sad face - and the realities of a 60 year old house. Lots of projects to finish before we can escape to Florida for the winter. So folks enjoy the warm while you have it - it will chill when you get around lower South America. Just thought I'd throw that thought out there.
