Bring life vest for infant?

Hi,

We just booked our first cruise with NCL with our baby boy (1 year old by time of sailing), and I estimate he'll be 20-25 pounds by then. Will NCL provide an infant life vest, or should we buy and bring our own?

NCL will provide an appropriate life vest for use in case of emergency. If its not there when you get to your cabin, just ask your steward.

 

Just note that unless your baby is completely potty trained, the pools will be off limits.

They provide an appropriate one for every passenger, but it must stay in the cabin for emergencies.  Usually it will already be there - if not, as 1025 says, just ask your steward.

oh, I thought you were asking about a vest for pool/ocean use... Silly me.

They are required by law to have life vests for everyone onboard.  They are not for recreational use, so if you need a floatation vest for your child at pools or beaches, you will need to bring it.

They will provide one.  Here is my then 6 month old in the life vest...she wasn't happy.  This is June of 2010....check out the old bed spread!  HAH

The cruise liner has to provide the appropriate life vest for any passenger, young or old. When you arrive in your suite, just make sure it's  there, if not ask your steward(ess).
