Photo tour in Iceland for a day

My wife and I are cruising to Iceland next June and are considering booking a photo excursion while in port.  Stopping at Reykjavich and Akureyri.   Any suggestions welcome.

We used FAB tours for each of our three Iceland ports and they were wonderful. They were not photo-specific tours.

Are you in Reyjavik one or 2 days ? We did a 1 hour puffin tour and then the Golden Circle tour on our short day which included the Strokkur Geyser and Gullfoss .

 

 

 

 

 

On the previous longer day we went South where we saw 2 waterfalls including one that you could walk behind

 

 

 

 

 

There is also a black sand beach with Basalt columns

 

 

And a black glacier

 

 

In Akureryi we saw the lunar landscape with boiling mud pits

 

 

 

Dettifoss

 

 

And Godafoss

 

 

We liked it so much that we plane on going back in August .

Snowed about 4 inches on the ship as we pulled into Akureryi.

Very nice , we do love to visit the snow . We did have a pretty day on June 15th .

We arrive at Akuryeri at 8 am, depart at 5 pm, then arrive in Reykjavik at 3 pm, stay overnight leaving the next day at 2:00 pm.

If you are adventuresome you could rent a car in Reyjavik . They also have afternoon Puffins or whale tours in the summer afternoon on the first day . The Golden Circle could be done on your own in the morning if you would like . The ride to the south is about 2-1/2 hours . You could also do the blue lagoon on the first day if you don't care for the wildlife tours .
