Canadian Air updated and/or the sites I was looking at did and/or the fact that I expanded my search to include Newark as a viable airport gave me flights with direct access and seat classes I wanted at the price points I was expecting...so it all worked out. I will say....I had my pick of basically all the seats..... 😉
Rare cruisequeen4ever Posted September 7, 2019 #27 Share Posted September 7, 2019 Book air either through Choice Air or on your own, but no need to use a TA. They can’t save any money on airfare. United has a nonstop to/from Anchorage and Newark in the summer if you’re doing the one way cruise. If not, I do think flying in/out of Vancouver is prudent over using Seattle. The one time we did Seattle for a Vancouver cruise, our cruise bus was delayed at the border due to broken AC, and we had to wait for a bus to rescue us. The ship almost had to sail without us because Vancouver sail times are quite affected by tides. Plus the bus ride can be 4 hours! The bit more to fly all the way to Vancouver is worth it to me.
