Adding Serenity 7/24/21  and 10/9-10/21

I have started issuing “Bon Voyages” as cruises are a week away from starting. The list of people I include comes from the main Crystal Forums “Future Bookings” thread. The roll calls are semi-private while anybody can read posts on the main forum, so I do NOT transfer names from the Roll Calls to the Bon Voyages. If you want to be included in the Bon Voyage you must post your intentions on the on this thread:

 Future Bookings

I expect most Yacht and River cruises will not generate roll calls. Where I learn of a roll call I’ll try adding it to the bottom section.

I know that many of the cruises listed here either have been cancelled or will be soon, but I will continue to list them until 30 days past the end of the cruise in case people will want to discuss replacement cruises, refunds, and the like.

Cruise critic has instituted an automated “roll call finder”. I think it is in people’s best interest if this thread and the automatic system produce the same results. For that to happen, It seems like the best format is month, day, year, and NOT with a date range. (Rather than a date range consider something like Crystal Symphony June 15, 2019 for 14 days.

Bon Voyage to Isdex, Ice Bear, Ibcruizin, aputt, klbankes, and Johng75370 July 3. 2021

Crystal Serenity Nassau Round Trip, Bahamas Luxury Escape

I disembarked Crystal Serenity March 3, 2020 in Sydney and watched her sail away on March 4.  Since that time I don’t think Crystal has carried a single revenue passenger anywhere.  That is about to change with these intrepid pioneers.  You will likely face challenges and changing protocols but are surely headed for an adventure:
 July 3 Nassau R/T johng75370 (John/Andrew)

July 3 Nassau R/T klbankes (Calvin/Karl)

July 3 Nassau R/T aputt, (Tony/Andrew)

July 3 Nassau R/T  lhcruzin (Mike/Linda)

July 3 Nassau R/T Ice Bear (Marion)

July 3 Nassau R/T  Isdex (Sharon)

I have a long standing policy that I go only to the future bookings thread for the Bon Voyages, mainly because the other source would be roll calls which are private to registered Cruise Critic members but there are exceptions.  Bon Voyage as well to Suitcasebears, and we look forward to your live thread.  Have a wonderful cruise!

Encore Sailing-- Crystal Serenity Nassau Round Trip, Bahamas Luxury Escape

Too many people on this voyage to list individually in the title.  The first  Crystal  Cruise in over 15 months is under way.  Many of the people on that sailing will be continuing to a back to back and be joined by a significant contingent of new people.  The second cruise should be a bit more "normal" than the first but will still be an adventure.  With a bit of luck but still not assured we can look forward to the possibility of an inaugural docking in Bimini:

Crystal Endeavor Luxury Iceland Expedition, July 27, 2021

While I missed a Bon Voyage to the actual maiden voyage, I think the term pioneer still can be applied to Sierrafloridacruiser on this exotic voyage.  If pioneer is not quite on the mark explorer certainly is for such an exotic voyage:

These Bahamas cruises should be getting down to a nice rhythm by now.   While new things are being learned with each execution of the itinerary, a sense of adventure will still be an advantage.  It appears that the issues with Bimini have been resolved and that will be a nice addition to the mix:

Encore Sailing-- Crystal Serenity Nassau Round Trip, Bahamas Luxury Escape

A bit of a bittersweet Bon Voyage this time.  We were saddened recently to discover that Sthrngary will not be joining the group due to a breakthrough Covid infection.  I hope all on board will have an extra toast to the missing member and that Sthrngary will quickly find a satisfactory cruise.

Crystal Endeavor Luxury Iceland Expedition, August 6, 2021

Reports from the Inaugural sailing of the Crystal Endeavor have been quite enticing and now we have another live thread coming up with our own Keith and Anne Marie.  I'm sure recent covid developments have been concerning but you're seizing the moment

Crystal Serenity Nassau, Bimini, or Miami Round Trip, Bahamas Luxury Escape

What I expected to be a somewhat routine Bahamas cruise took on a touch of drama with the addition of Crystal's first US visit in about 18 months to the mix.  I expect some people will be happy with the addition of vibrant Miami to the itinerary while others will cringe and make it a sea day.  All these people were originally boarding in Nassau (and mauipat) is continuing from the July 31 cruise, but I think MomC was trying to change her embarkation to Miami.  I'm not sure if that happened or not.

We now have the second Bahamas cruise with a stop in Miami, and the first where passengers will be disembarking there.  While there are 3 possible embarkation ports Wesport is definitely embarking in Nassau and MomC is continuing from the August 7 cruise out of Nassau.    While there are varying opinions about the ports the ship seems to be the primary destination and the experience is as good as ever.

While work continues on final venue updates on Endeavor the experience seems to get better with each successive cruise, and hope the third one will be the best yet.

While all the Bahamas cruises have featured multiple embarkation ports this is the first time we have had people in future bookings from multiple ports.  Wishing one a smooth Miami embarkation and the other a painless encounter with CPB there.   While there are varying opinions about the ports the ship seems to be the primary destination and the experience is as good as ever.

Crystal Symphony Boston to Bermuda and Back, Luxury Bermuda Escape

After her long hiatus Crystal Symphony is now close to North America poised for a return to her elegant service and almost exactly 19 months since Symphony last touched US soil (a port call in Hawaii).  Just one port call but Bermuda is a great one and a departure from one of America's most interesting and historic cities.

As always with Crystal there will be plenty to do on 2 full and 2 half sea days, and some may choose the attractive option of enjoying a largely empty ship on some or all of the port days.  I also recommend a little time in Boston before or after the cruise.  Whatever you do have a wonderful time.

Crystal Symphony Boston to Bermuda and Back, Luxury Bermuda Escape

Well, Symphony's first Bermuda Cruise is getting off to a stormy start but we hope the next one will be a bit more routine.  Two great destinations here, Bermuda and the Crystal Symphony.  Two of these parties are already on board and going back for more, and one of the others will stay on through Labor Day.

With cruising ramping up and the 2 ocean ships sailing on consecutive days I thought I would combine 2 into a single wish

Crystal Serenity Nassau, Round Trip, Bahamas Luxury Escape

While there are technically 3 embarkation ports for the Bahamas cruise, this week it is only the classic port of Nassau represented in Future Bookings.

Serenity's cruise itinerary is pretty stable but the protocols seem to keep changing.  One good thing is between Crystal doing testing at the pier and Bermuda requiring it before arrival the chances of a very last minute surprise should be pretty minimal.  Wishing Kim a stress free preparation and travel experience.

Crystal Symphony Final Boston to Bermuda and Back, Luxury Bermuda Escape

The Boston part of Symphony's Bermuda has been somewhat snakebit with hurricane impacts on two cruises so far.  The plan for the September 5 cruise is still a bit mysterious and perhaps will still undergo changes on the fly but hopefully the final time on this itinerary go without a hitch.
