Yes, there is mello yello and sugar free mello yello in the freestyle machines.  Not all ships have the freestyle machines though.

we are going on liberty of the seas so can someone tell me if the bars have it?

No Freestyle machines on Liberty, so if they have it, it will only be in cans (around $4) and won't be covered by any of the beverage packages.

You are allowed to bring on 12 cans of soda at initial embarkation.

Did this change? I've always been able to get canned soda with the beverage card. But, I've never been on a ship with the freestyle machines. Is this the reason?

Really? I thought all Royal ships had Freestyle machines by now. I assumed that any way. I've been on 9 ships and they all had it. Out of curiosity which ones don't?

Cans have technically not been included with the soda package, though some have reported being able to get cans.

THis might be one of those things that vary by ship, bar, etc.

These ships have Freesytle machines:

Adventure, Allure, Anthem, Enchantment, Explorer, Freedom, Grandeur, Harmony, Independence, Jewel, Majesty, Mariner, Navigator, Oasis, Quantum, Rhapsody, Symphony

Ovation may also, but I've not seen a report on that.

When you take a 12-pack of soda with you on the ship do you put it in your luggage or do you attach a luggage tag to the carton and check it in

Royal's current rule says carry-on.

Who wants to carry around a 12-pack of soda until the cabins open? 🙄

Put it in a piece of rolling luggage that you are carrying on.

Thank you. Good idea. It's my first cruise so I'm still learning from all the tips. 🙂
