NonRefundable Deposit

Can a nonrefundable deposit be transferred to an existing booking or do you just lose the deposit?

Are you talking about early saver booking. in the terms and conditions it says this:

A $50 change fee per guest will be assessed for ship and/or sail date changes made prior to final payment due date. Remaining funds are nonrefundable/nontransferable and will be held as a future cruise credit to be applied to your cruise fare on a sailing within 24 months from the date of cancellation.

Non refundable USUALLY just means you won't get your original form of payment back. Each rate code has different terms, so it is hard to tell you definitively without knowing your rate code. Call Carnival and ask to have your deposit changed to a future cruise credit and applied to your current booking.

Most casino rates follow Early Saver rules meaning you will lose $50 per person for "administrative fees". The balance can be applied to a new or existing booking, but not to the deposit on a new booking. 😎

True. But many Casino offers also combine attractive reduced deposits .. like $49 per person.

 

So in the event of a cancellation, after a $50 admin fee,  there is $0 remaining to offer as an FCC.

 

As stated above, each rate code has different terms, so it is hard to tell definitively without knowing the OP's rate code.
