Glad to hear you had a great time, and happy 60th! I too find it hard to believe that a ship that traditionally didn't have issues with crowding is overwhelmed with 8% more passengers. Still, I would never cruise during the peak summer months.

Thank you and I agree and will only cruise Early May or Sept/Oct.

Best part of your review was reading you got to watch the Eagles. 😀  Go Birds!

it was nice seeing a good review for Sunrise for a change.

Was a slow start to the game, had a blast with a bunch of other Philly Fans.

We were on the ship with you!  After reading all the horrible reviews here, I was really questioning my decision.  However, I totally agree with you.  We had a great 8 days.  Food was good, always able to find a table, a lounger, a seat at the shows. We loved the Alchemy and the Red Frog (those 1/2 price port day Fishbowls are the bomb😂).  If you’re a foodie, the Chef’s Table was awesome!

Super easy embarkation and debarkation.  One negative (besides the rudeness of some people) was the smoke in the casino which you had to go through.  I’m hoping to post a review with pix soon.

Glad you had a good time as well.

Look forward to your review.

This just goes to show you how different people have different experiences on the same ship.  I am not taking away the from the legitimate complaints because I am sure there are good reasons for the negative reports.  Good to know the ship is not a total mess.

She is far from a total mess.

My wife does not go on here at all and had no idea of all the negativity.

I purposely did not say anything to her prior to us cruising.

I asked her after the cruise if she had any complaints she had none....Other then rudeness from a bunch.

I did tell her then that many had major complaints about this, that and the other thing.

She again said she had none other then some rudeness of others.

I was on this sailing as well, didn't get around to a review yet. Like you we found the crew to be awesome - good food. We did notice the buffet area very crowded when we walked through. We avoided it for the most part. Ate at Pig & Anchor - Guys and the seafood shack for lunch most days. Did the brunch a couple of days and breakfast in the MDR all but 1 day.

Someone asked about the price for lobsta rolls $12 - you got two - they were excellent! I also had the fish platter another day - that was $10. Worth it!

It took us a little but to get familiar with the layout - reminded me of the Splendor. We had an OS, but have a wrap booked for May. But are torn between the Sunrise and Legend. We were excited to go to Cuba.

We did the Steakhouse 1st night - it was very good, we found the food in the MDR to be good all week. We also tried the Italian place one night - that was just OK for us, not bad but not great. I ordered the Lamb Chops one night in the MDR off the steakhouse menu - worth every penny!

There were more than I've seen in the past of really rude guests. It kills me to hear the way they talk down to the crew. We saw this from a few folks on board. Hoping karma gets to them.

The atrium is on the smaller side, we really enjoy the electric violins. The bartenders there were so nice. 2 of them went so far out of their way for me one night when I wasn't feeling well. Thanks Joyce and Maribel!

If you get a chance to do the chefs table - do it - well worth it. We found the piano bar - in all our cruises we never went - we met some really fun folks there and spent many nights closing it down.

Not a  huge fan of the serenity area - it wasn't quiet enough, you could hear the music when it was loud from the main pool. But we always found chairs. this is where we spend most of our sea days.

We enjoyed jack's at grand turk, Walking around San Juan and eating at an amazing restaurant for lunch. We rented a cabana at Amber Cove which was very private and relaxing.

Lastly - I think Mikey did an awesome job with the Sept 11th tribute. Not sure there were many dry eyes.

Hope you don't mind I provided my feedback as well to your review. We had an awesome week!

Thanks for the review! We sail with 10 others out of Fort Lauderdale on 11/2 and we are all very excited! What were the best areas outside the room to just relax and read that were relatively quiet?

10 Aft was one of our spots , Ports side there were loungers near the Pig & Anchor always open.

Deck 3 if you want shade and to be close to the water. ( My favorite spot).

The deck 3 area off the lobby is a GREAT place to relax and enjoy the water going by.
