We will be stopping at Amber Cove in 2 weeks and are interested in doing a tour of the area and the best places to buy rum, vanilla, coffee, and gifts.  My wife has read that there is a chocolate factory or shop near port and I would love to tour the Brugal factory as well and I've heard that they're not too far from the port.  Is there a tour that goes to these places?  Any ideas or advice will be greatly appreciated!!  Thank y'all!!

If you can't find a tour you can take a cab.  The Chocolate Factory is across from the Brugal factory.

Both offer things to buy.  From there you also aren't far from the Amber museum.   Best place to

buy liquor etc.  is La Sirena, supermarket Tropical  or Jose Luis near there too.   Can't imagine a cab for the day costing more the $65.  Depending on time you have might also be able to fit in the cable car.
