We have same ports in 2020.  Plus, we are looking at continuing overland from Petra by private car to Amman and then flying ahead to Dubai, skipping six sea days to have more time in Dubai.

Petra was amazing! I got to "drive" a camel for 1 hour! The guide walked behind me while I had the reins!! Loved it.🐪🐫

Today oil fields in Saudi Arabia attacked set on fire by Iranian drones

Are you sure of that?   The general feeling was that it was the Houthi.   Blaming the Iranians without proof will only inflame the Strait of Hormuz situation.

False information fed to me by the news agencies then?

The Houthi are financed and armed by Iran. They would be unable to launch such an attack otherwise.

One should wait and see after first reports the later reports say the drones came from the direction of Iran not Yemen where the Houthi are located.

I wonder if drones could be flown towards Iran and then towards Saudi Arabia and the first leg is conveniently missed or not noticed.  No doubt further evidence will be forthcoming.
