JVD charter?

NCL finally opened up the excursions for Tortola and the cost PP for the JVD excursion is really expensive!

Has anyone done a private charter or water taxi they can recommend? $139 pp for 5 hours seems a little crazy. I’ll pay it if it’s my only option.

For time on Jost only and not a daysail visiting other islands or snorkeling you are limited in choices and your time and day in port determines what options you really have.

There are independent operators like Mitch at Ocean Magic, prices are higher for a private excursion but I remember checking and they were reasonable when split between 5 - 7 ppl. We’ve not Ben out wit Mal or Rudy but the reviews on TA are great. If you do this I would include a stop at the b-Line on Little Jost or the Willy T (Pirate’s Bight on Norman Island if the WT is not in operation when there). Just don’t spend all you time in White Bay. At the very least save some time for Foxy in Great Harbor...

Two other options include -

The public ferry from West End. Round trip costs include taxi to West End ferry ($24/pp), ferry to Great Harbor ($25/pp), and taxi to White Bay $10/pp).

And a water taxi out of CGB with Larry (where Ocean Magic is also docked), cost is ~$120pp round trip. With 5 - 6 paying customers they will stay with you in Great Harbor, drop you in White Bay, and return for you when you tell them to. So a much more private option than the ship excursion...you’d have to inquire more for contact info...

Foxy’s on Jost also offers a water taxi service for a similar price -
