Go to the casino cashier and ask for a cash advance (don't mention OBC).  They will charge 5% for this.

On Harmony  they waive the fee if you take credit at a slot machine.  Just hit cash out and claim your money. I was surprised

Can you explain this in more detail. I have never used a slot machine on land or sea. I have never been to a casino except to walk through it to get to another area of the ship.

You insert your SeaPass card into the machine and select how much money you want.  The system loads money from your account into the machine.  You can then play the machine and/or press the cash out button and get a ticket which can be taken to the cashier to redeem for cash.

We only wanted to travel with minimal cash so thought about doing the charge to our account but then was told about the 5% fee. So basically by doing it this was you don't have to pay the fee? It just adds it to your shipboard account? Also do you know if RCL will cash a check without a fee? Thanks

Correct, using your SeaPass card directly in the machine to play avoids the 5% charge.  However, only certain machines on certain ships have this capability.

Wow and thank you! This sounds like a fee free ATM machine.Thank you for the info. I wonder if this works on other cruise lines or just Royal.

Sure, they could have covered it on all booked cruises, but that would have been the fair and ethical way to handle it.

Hmmmm..'Fair OR ethical' ??? Well, THAT certainly eliminates Frank Del Rio, doesn't it ?? Look how he gouges customers on Regents Seven Seas, his so called 'luxurious' cruise line ! Read some of the reviews that say, ' Beautiful ship BUT....Typical businessman.

I checked with RCI last night to see if they had my correct email address which they did not. They were sending to my old email address which I still have access to but the emails weren’t there or in spam. There were plenty of emails in there about their fake sales though.

Not in my new email or my wifes email.

Said they can’t resend me a copy of the emails. Doesn’t make sense to me but that’s RCI.

Was this an answer to your inquiry as I (do not know about others) have not received any correspondence as to options for our Harmony April 12. '20 cruise.  I would think there would be general wide announcements regarding the options available especially since there's a due date of Oct. 4th.

No, I hadn't sent any emails or called (yet).  I had received the initial email from Royal letting me know their 'new plan' about taking away our perks and giving us $50 OBC instead of our BW Balcony drinks etc.  I then got the email updating me saying they were sorry and that I could now choose to keep the perks.

Just got my email. I filled out the form, but didn't get any email confirmation to be grandfathered. I will check with them on Monday.

I didn't get a confirmation either, however I did take a screenshot at the end of the survey that shows I completed it and was grandfathered in on the Dine Drink Discover package.  With Royal, I take a LOT of screenshots, lol.

I'm going to call my TA on Monday to put a note on my account, too. The issue is that if you do NOTHING, they'll assume you want the $50 instead. RCL is too incompetent to trust they're going to get it right a year from now.

For those that did not get an email, I dont see why you can't use use the link. It doesn't seem specific to a certain person because you are asked for a reservation number.

With Royal and IT there is no rhyme nor reason to anything.  I get two or three emails a day from Royal about cruise planner sales and the latest fake sales that I have no use for but I'm scared to unsubscribe from from the emails because I'm sure that they would screw that up and I would stop getting important emails like this one or Royalup offers.
