Galveston and this rain

Looking at the weather and Houston and Galveston seem to have been getting hammered by rain the last couple of days. Wondered how Galveston is handling it?  

 

We fly into George Bush late tomorrow afternoon, and then have 2 nights at Harbor House before the LOS on 9/22.

We had heavy rain and it drained off fast . Here is photo at 5:00 pm yesterday after drainage . 

We also had more rain today Thursday and higher water . It will drain off fast . Actually Houston highways are in worse shape than Galveston. Highways in Houston will be better tomorrow. 

 

I will go out later to try to take same photo area .

Expect flight delays.  Bush airport was closed all day and I think will be tomorrow until late afternoon.

Today’s flight was canceled by American and we’ve been rebooked on one Saturday morning.  Fingers crossed everything goes well!
