Other ships/ cruise lines sailing out of Mobile

Just wondering if any other ships or cruise lines are planning to sail out of Mobile. Any rumors, etc!?

The mayor is teasing an upcoming announcement, but it may just be a renewal of the existing contract with Carnival. Mobile is small potatoes  in the cruising world. I wouldn't expect much big news.

If there were a larger market, Carnival would first go with a larger, newer ship.

The current short itineraries just don't appeal to me.  Last cruise I went on out of Mobile was a 7 day aboard the Elation.  A great cruise!
