Is there a canal tour that leaves rightt in front of the terminal ? None that I am aware of that leave from the PTA - although we did notice some canal cruise boats docked near the front of the Movenpick hotel (don't have a clue about these) . There are many choices that depart from the front of Centraal Station - a very short walk from the terminal. dogs4fun Posted September 20, 2019 #3 Share Posted September 20, 2019 (edited) The link below shows all the departure points for canal cruises & I see none at the PTA. However, on the map you will note how close Centraal Station is to the PTA. https://www.iamsterdam.com/en/i-am/canal-cruise-ticket Edited September 20, 2019 by dogs4fun
Ine Posted September 20, 2019 #4 Share Posted September 20, 2019 The green line of the hopon off canalboat stops near the cruise terminal. However it is seasonal and more expensive then the regular canalboattours. https://www.citysightseeingamsterdam.nl/en/tickets/hop-on-hop-off-boat-tour-24-h/ The regular tours are nicer I think. As mentioned those leave in front of Centraal Station. John Bull Posted September 20, 2019 #5 Share Posted September 20, 2019 If the weather's fine,, walk just 3 minutes further, onto Damrak, where you'll find small (about 20 pax) open eco-boats . Everyone has a seat on the side, no glassed-in superstructure to spoil your photos, personal narration & inter-action with the captain, goes down little canals not possible in the big boats. Electric-powered , quiet and fume-free - - in the bigger boats you'll catch the engine fumes when they negotiate tight corners. Magical, and the fare only a euro or two more. https://www.thewanderblogger.com/canal-boat-tour-amsterdam/ Can be pre-booked on-the-day. If there's a line, book for later in the day then carry on walking down Damrak to Dam Square, Red Light District, etc. https://goo.gl/maps/PdrhbjrQTzcNG1uX8 JB
