tvlworm Posted September 22, 2019 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2019 With so many cruisers taking advantage of the NCL free/reduced air program (myself included), I thought it could be beneficial to create a thread similar to the cabin compilation for easier reference. We have a long time to wait until our flights are assigned (2021 July sailing) but figured a consolidated thread might make it easier to watch and see what is most common with who NCL uses. Please add any additional helpful details to the template suggestions below 🙂 Template - Home Departure City - Arrival/Destination City - Airline(s) used - Number of Connections - Outbound Flight departure/arrival time - Return Flight departure/arrival time -

smplybcause Posted September 22, 2019 #6 Share Posted September 22, 2019 Probably helpful to add if you paid for a deviation. Was looking at post #3 for a hot minute wondering how they were going to make it to the port!

You may want to reserve a wheel chair, that is what we have started doing. It should be waiting for you when you get off the plane and they can cover a lot of distance in a very short period of time.

Ivola Posted September 24, 2019 #17 Share Posted September 24, 2019 How much do people pay to move flight up to prior day? (not sure how they can guarantee I will make it if I do not do so, as winter weather or other things can interrupt)

I believe this needs to be added prior to ticketing, but not positive.
tvlworm Posted September 24, 2019 Author #19 Share Posted September 24, 2019 Tried my hand at an excel document that should be able to be sorted. I currently have it sorted by departure city, then airline to hopefully make it easier to see most popular carriers used based on routing. I'll keep this updated, hopefully 1x per week, depending on # of weekly responses to the thread. :) NCL Air Compilation.xlsx

If you go a day early and come back a day later, is that counted as 2 deviations, i.e. $50pp?

If you miss the ship the cost is on you to catch up. At least that's what I've seen in various posts across various threads. $25pp for a deviation up to 2 days before/after. Not sure if you deviate before and after whether it's $25 or $50.
NRWPA Posted September 25, 2019 #22 Share Posted September 25, 2019 Home Departure City - Miami Arrival/Destination City - Rome Airline(s) used - Delta outbound, American/Iberia inbound Number of Connections - 1 each way (Atlanta outbound, Madrid inbound) Outbound Flight departure/arrival time - 9/10 12:24 p.m. with arrival 9/11 7:45 a.m. Return Flight departure/arrival time - 9/22 12:06 p.m. arrival scheduled 8:00 p.m. (although flight took off from Madrid late so we didn't arrive in Miami until 9:30 p.m.) PLEASE ALSO ADD: How many days out when you were ticketed- 7/23 Just a couple of notes, I booked a hotel in Rome through NCL and was permitted into my room when I arrived around 9:00 a.m. A slight mixup with my room caused a 30 minute delay but I was comped breakfast for my trouble. Breakfast was also included at the hotel on embarkation day. Also, the Delta flight was EXTREMELY pleasant with hot towels, 2 meals and a light meal (sandwiches), with snacks, beer, wine, liquor and other assorted drinks throughout the flight. Iberia flight was ok, not nearly as nice as the Delta flight but both very acceptable for coach flights. 1

Also, the cost of transfers for 3 trips - airport to hotel (BMW private car), hotel to port (bus) and port to airport (bus) actually was less expensive than the 2 transfers I originally booked when flying in on embarkation day. Total cost for transfers was $85 USD (I traveled solo). Private transportation was much more expensive. I was completely happy with my entire trip.
mchl73133 Posted September 26, 2019 #24 Share Posted September 26, 2019 Just called to add a deviation through NCL and it was free. Plus they refunded the transfer from the airport to the cruise port. Leaving from Sacramento to Miami. We do not have our flights yet but we are 71 days out.
